Walking along the Rhein and Moselle

Experience the fascination of the two rivers Rhine and Moselle during a three-hour guided walk.

I will explain the sights along the rivers and also provide interesting historical information and various facts about shipping, flooding, environmental protection, water quality, fishing, drinking water supply, and other topics. Of course, there will also be stories and events that have taken place on or along the rivers in the Koblenz area. By the end of the walk, you will have a different perspective on these two rivers.

Starting point: Peter-Altmeier-Ufer/Balduin Bridge/Moselle riverbank.

End point: Koblenz Oberwerth, Oberwerth Sports Hall (EPG Arena, Jupp-Gauchel-Str. 10).

Route: Moselle riverbank from the Balduin Bridge to the Deutsches Eck (German Corner), then upstream along the Rhine to Koblenz-Oberwerth. The route uses almost exclusively separate footpaths (including promenades and parks) away from main roads.

The return journey can be made by taking the Koveb bus from the Oberwerth sports hall on line 3/13 via the main train station to the city center (Zentralplatz, Löhr Center). The bus runs every half hour. Fare: €4.10 per adult. Mini group ticket: €9.90 for up to 5 people. Day ticket for the Koblenz network: €5.50 per person.

Duration: approx. 3 hours

Distance: 7 km

Price: €190 per group (max. 25 people)

It is also possible to start the walk from the Oberwerth sports hall and finish in the Koblenz Old Town area.

Führungen können auch in deutscher Sprache gebucht werden.
